KANYE TALKING ABOUT LATEST RUMOR

Heres what he had to say:I WAS JUST LISTENING TO WENDY WILLIAMS AND HEARD SOME QUOTE ABOUT ME SAYING I’M THE NEW KING OF POP. NOT ONLY DID I NOT SAY THAT, I HAVEN’T SAID ANYTHING. IT MAKES ME FEEL BAD THAT OBVIOUSLY I MADE PEOPLE FEEL THAT I WOULD BE CORNY ENOUGH TO SAY SOMETHING SO WHACK AFTER THE PASSING OF AN IDOL, A LEGEND AND MORE THAN THAT A HUMAN BEING WITH FEELINGS AND FAMILY. IT SCARES ME TO THINK WHAT PEOPLE WILL BELIEVE, WITHOUT EVEN A SOURCE. ANY RANDOM PERSON CAN TYPE SOMETHING ON THE INTERNET AND THEN THE WORLD BELIEVES IT. I DON’T TALK TO PRESS OR DO TV OR DO PROMOTIONS OF ANY SORT. I’VE STOPPED CHASING AND BUYING INTO FAME. FAME IS LIKE CIGARETTES WITH NO SURGEON GENERAL WARNING. IT DESTROYS MOST PEOPLE AS IT DID TO THE TRUE AND ONLY KING OF POP. WE EXPLOIT OURSELVES AND EAT OUR OWN EGOS ‘TILL THERE IS NOTHING LEFT. I HAVE A FEELING THAT THIS WON’T BE THE LAST FALSE STATEMENT WITH MY NAME ON IT, BUT THIS WILL BE THE LAST TIME I DEFEND MYSELF. I’M DONE.

Lisa Wu Hartwell Show Some Class Lisa feels good to be back!

Hello everyone,

I am excited to be back! I'd like to thank everyone that tuned in. It is a blessing to have your support.

On another note, Kim refused or cringed at the idea of being around me or the mere sight of me because I called her a liar. She had lied about me several times in the past. It is what it is! If I had my choice she would have not been in the same room with me either.

However, I do believe that we are all adults and being cordial and polite is just the classy thing to do.

NeNe Leakes Movin' On Up! NeNe has a few words for Mr. 'I think I can yell at my clients & call them b**ches.'

Well we're moving on up!

I've moved into my new home and Dwight comes over to help me make some decorating decisions and it turns into him dancing for me! I love Dwight, he's just really easy to be around and he understands me. I was really ready to meet with Sheree and try to put things behind us because we had known each other for years. I mean, we are two adult women. I'm happy we met and I think we have a clear understanding and respect for each other. At least I hope that's the direction were moving in.

At Niecy Nash's birthday party I was having fun until Sheree told me Kim talked about my husband! I was surprise because my husband likes and respects all the girls so attacking him seemed unfair to me. If you got beef with me, take it up with me, but leave my husband and children out of it because that is where I draw the line! I know the game isn't fair but I don't play like that Mizz Kim! The party planner & Sheree were out of control! I must agree with Sheree on this one! She was the client, that was pure BAD business Mr. 'I think I can yell at my clients & call them b**ches.'

Toya’s New Man Is Not A Woman Beater

A few days ago I posted photos of Toya Carter (of the Toya & Tiny Show) with her new man James Hardy of the Buffalo Bills.A day later, a site posted a huge gossip story alleging that James had beat up his ex-girlfriend and his son years ago. I found out that the story was far from the truth. Here’s James response to the allegations:

I am shocked and disappointed by people’s efforts to destroy my character. I am a God-fearing man, and I would never place my hands on the mother of my child or my son. In fact, my son has been an inspiration to me and to my accomplishments and I hold deep respect for my former girlfriend for raising my son. As in many relationships, my ex-girlfriend and I had an argument that was blown out of proportion. My ex-girlfriend called the police and I was arrested. As a student athlete, I did not have the money to defend myself in a criminal trial; therefore, I agreed to take part in a six-month diversion program.

As a result, the charges were dismissed and at the hearing on June 13, 2007, my ex-girlfriend recanted her statements and testified that she phoned 911 in an effort to “get at” me for the problems we were having in the relationship at the time. During the time of the incident, our relationship was being affected due to my hectic athletic schedule. This incident took place three years ago when I was a college student at Indiana University.

Currently, I am a professional athlete who realizes that children look up to me and that I have a duty to conduct myself appropriately. As partners in parenting, my ex-girlfriend and I maintain an amicable relationship. I have moved on and am happy with my life. Despite the negative media coverage, I am striving to achieve my maximum potential in life and focus on my career.

LilWayne & Nicki Minaj

Meanwhile, an album that you won’t be hearing anytime soon is Lil’ Wayne’s “Rebirth.” The album has been pushed back yet again and the rapper has said he will release the LP when his Young Money label is in order. Looks like we might be waiting awhile for that to happen cause there seems to be drama. According to BlogXilla Wayne’s label is renigging on it’s promise to let one of their newest artist Nicki Minaj rap and sing because Wayne would rather focus on the singing career of his new girlfriend Shanell who recently signed with Young Money (and is D. Woods‘ sister, if you care). Really Wayne? Didn’t anyone ever tell you not to mix business with pleasure and for the love of latex haven’t you had enough girlfriends this year?

Trey Songz Responds to His ‘View in Honey Mag

Trey took to his blog to apologize to his fans for his x-rated talk and to also let his fans know that he promotes safe sex.
this is what he had to say.
While out on promo I’ve learned that my Honeymag.com interview is being heavily talked about. Although I’ve never read the magazine I thought the questions prepared for me were indicative of the type of magazine that Honey is. In response to my interview, I want to take this opportunity to apologize to my fans if anything I said offended anyone. I was simply being honest. The interview was done in fun and not with the intention of being shocking or offensive. For the blogs and people who take things out of context (conveniently dismissing my several references to safe sex), I do not have a STD nor do I practice unprotected sex. I look forward to using this misinterpretation as an opportunity to highlight the importance of safe sex to my fans. I’ve always practiced and promoted safe sex and even wrote a song about it (Store Run - 2007). I shared an isolated incident that happened 8 years ago when I was a teenager. Lastly, I did, as I do in every interview, answer the questions that were asked.

Kanye West & Kim Kardashian

Fox 411 is reporting:
“Reggie saw text messages on Kim’s phone from Kanye West and flipped out on her,” the source tells FOX411.

And these weren’t your average friendly messages.

“The texts referenced a night they hung out, how much fun he had, how hot Kim was, and more racy things that got Reggie’s imagination running,” says the source.

When Reggie confronted Kim about it, the couple had a huge blow-up, and jealousy issues, which had been pretty much kept out of their relationship until this incident ,surfaced, according to the insider.

“They realized there were trust issues on both sides, and couldn’t go forward,” says the source.

Reps for West and Kardashian did not respond to requests for comment.”

Lil Wayne Still Working On Rebirth, Focusing On Young Money Label

Lil Wayne is in no rush to put out his Rebirth LP. The record’s release has been pushed back repeatedly, and no concrete date has been announced. Weezy says he’s been working on the LP, but he’s also been concentrating on getting his record company in order.

“Honestly, I’m just starting up this Young Money label and I’m trying to get my artists down right. Get everybody together,” Weezy told MTV News. “Once I got that together, then I could work back on me. I’m a very humble person. I know once I get to it, I’mma get to it. So like I was saying, it’s Young Money time, so making sure my artists get their just due.”

On Monday night, Wayne kicked off his latest tour, Young Money Presents: The America’s Most Wanted Music Festival. In addition to introducing his artists — from Drake to Nicki Minaj — throughout the show, Wayne carved out his own time with the audience. Weezy went from hip-hop to rock to pop during his set. He says the versatility of the music is indicative of what he’s offering on Rebirth.

“The Rebirth album is just me expressing myself without any boundaries. Without any margins, without any guidelines,” he said. “I’m trying to do something different. I told my record company, ‘Don’t tell me nothing about what I say. Don’t tell me nothing about what you hear. Just get behind me.’ That’s what Rebirth is.”

Wayne is on tour with the entire Young Money crew — as well as Young Jeezy, Soulja Boy Tell’em, Jeremih and Pleasure P — until September.

Shout outs to MTV and we all know Rebirth will a great album, but he did say it was done the other week

Lil Wayne And Madonna Collabo Confirmed!

Remember the Lil Wayne verse/bridge that leaked a while back which was supposed to be used on an upcoming Madonna track? Well the collaboration has been confirmed and the record’s official name is “Revolver“. This track will also be the second single from her upcoming greatest hits album titled “Celebration” which will drop in September. There will most likely will be a music video to this song too, so like YN said, how are excited are you?

Drake Refused Kanye West’s Offer To Remake “Best I Ever Had” Video

Some fans liked it, some fans were scratching their heads after the debut of Drake’s “Best I Ever Had” video last month. Some in the blogosphere said the clip’s buxom female basketball team did nothing but cater to the male audience without matching the theme of the song; others just thought it wasn’t all that creative. And a couple of bloggers even went so far as to suggest that director Kanye West sabotaged Drake’s production.

In fact, Drake told MTV News that West offered to shoot another video for the song, and he declined. He noted that receiving mixed reviews of his clip was a great lesson.

“That career move was very important to me,” he explained at the America’s Most Wanted Music Festival kickoff in Scranton, Pennsylvania. “We’ve done such a great job of building it all up. It’s kind of like people were getting this impression of me that I’m never gonna make a mistake. I’m not made of Teflon. I’m gonna do things for myself sometimes, as opposed to what people want me to do.”

Drake said the abundance of big-breasted women in the video didn’t put up any red flags that the video would offend anyone. He enjoyed the final cut of the video and thought it was right on point.

“If you listen to the song, I’m not saying the most graceful thing in the world. It’s not the most heartfelt song,” Drizzy continued. “I say some pretty wild things in regards to women in the actual song. When me and Kanye were in the studio working on a song for Big Sean, we were talking about it. We saw a comedic element to it. I felt that the climate in the world right now, everything in the world is so serious all the time, my life is serious, I just wanted to laugh, instead of taking myself too serious as the heartthrob and walking hand-in-hand into the movies and taking my shirt off. I felt it’s not that time for me yet. Or maybe never. I’m a very multifaceted person. One thing I told ‘Ye is, ‘I really want to act. I want to act in this video.’ ”

Kanye convinced him that the only way to be humorous was to go all the way with it and make it a full on funny video.

“I guess one thing I didn’t consider is what the song personally means to a lot of women,” Drake said. “To those women, I apologize. I do apologize. My intention wasn’t to put anyone down. It was to make them laugh. I wanted people to see something visually different.”

Don’t worry, Drake, judging by your reception at Monday’s AMW show, the fans still love you.

Soulja Boy Snatches Drake For New Collabo [Video]

Soulja Boy Tell Em has announced plans to release an upcoming collaboration record with rap newcomer Drake.

While not revealing the song’s title or content, Soulja Boy said fans could expect a forthcoming new song featuring Drizzy.

“Drake is a real dude,” Soulja Boy said in an interview. “Most rappers, they don’t like to give the other rappers props. They be hating on the next man and he showed me my respect. Drake is a good artist. I just got through chopping it up with him before Lil Wayne went on stage. We got a song coming too. We’ve been in the studio. I got the studio bus actually on the road, the whole tour. So I’m recording my third album, The DeAndre Way, it drops November. I’m recording my album while we’re on tour. So y’all can look out for the Soulja Boy and Drake collaboration.”

Weezy Introduces Young Money Crew & Album Coming November 24

The Young Money album is slated for November 24, as is Lil Wayne’s Rebirth LP, according to a source in his camp.

No doubt about it, the New Orleans Fireman is loaded. Rap’s most popular mic king just kicked off Young Money Presents: The America’s Most Wanted Music Festival, and one of Weezy’s main goals on the tour is to make sure his Young Money artists get shine. While you know all about Drake, Nicki Minaj and newest member Omarion, we thought we’d put you onto game about the rest of the clique.

“Gudda, he’s got this aggression about him,” Wayne told us about the artist who’s been with him the longest. Gudda Gudda has been riding with Wayne since he was a teenager on Cash Money.

“What people don’t know, Gudda started rapping several years ago,” Weezy added. “He started rapping because I said, ‘I like your look. You should rap.’ I wrote his first rap for him, and I never written another rap for him ever since that day I told him he should be a rapper.”

Representing the younger faction are Lil Twist, who’s on the tour riding his Segway scooter around, and Lil Chuckee, who uses his feet to cover ground backstage.

“His energy, he’s a pure entertainer,” Weezy said of Chuckee. Wayne is also a fan of Chuck’s swag. “I know that kid is gonna make it. It’s like in sports when you got that Kobe Bryant. You don’t know what to do with him, whether to play him the guard, center, small forward — you just know we’re gonna win with him.”

Rounding out the clique are mostly names you’ve heard of: Mack Maine, Tyga, Jae Millz, D. Woods’ sister Shanell (also known as SNL) and T-Streets.

“He’s more like my brother,” Wayne said of Streets. “He’s been with me since Gudda. He’s like my protector. Anybody wanna play games, T-Streets is right there. So I make sure T-Streets is on everything I do, always around.”

Drake To Star As Funnyman In New Sitcom

Rap newcomer Drake will make his return to the small screen in a new upcoming series called “Us and Them“.

While details are still scarce, the show will reportedly be an “Odd Couple”-styled sitcom.

Also Wednesday, Toronto-based the Nightingale Company said Canadian actor and rap artist Aubrey “Drake” Graham (”Degrassi: The Next Generation”) is to develop a new comedy series for the indie producer. Graham, also known as the recording artist “Drake,” and fellow actor Mazin Eisadig (”The Line”) are to co-star in “Us and Them,” a sitcom about best buddies — and polar opposites ? trying to make their way in the entertainment industry.
Drake originally made a name for himself as a star on the kids-based show “Degrassi.”

Trey song Interview with Honey Mag..

You ever got anything before?
When I was like 16 or 17, this girl gave me crabs. It was the most uncomfortable shit in the world. I was confused because ain’t nobody know I was having sex. So I was like damn what the fuck is going on? I even had to cut all my hair off and I had to eventually tell somebody. And had to go to the doctor.

Morning sex or drunken sex?
I say drunken sex. ‘Cause with morning sex, the morning may not be right. Some girls aren’t made for mornings (laughs).

Trey’s Favorite Things
I like to choke girls right before they cum, but you gotta continue hitting it at a rapid momentum. And I like girls that can take the whole dick.

And what are your favorite things to use in the bedroom?
My tongue and my penis (laughs).

So when’s your sex tape coming out?
Well, I gotta finish editing it (laughs). Nah, I’m not really into all of that.

Kid Cudi TV deal

Scott Mescudi aka Kid Cudi has landed a TV deal thanks to Marky Mark Mark Whalberg. The burgeoning rapper has been on a roll since XXL magazine named him one of the 10 rappers who are going to blow this year. Looks like they were right, he hasn’t even released an album yet!

Kid Cudi, now riding the wave of his latest single “Make Her Say” (featuring Common and Kanye West), confirmed a series titled How To Make It In America. The show will be a comedy where Cudi plays the lead, Domingo Dean (named after both of the rapper’s brothers). There are no more details about the plot just yet, but it won’t have anything to do with music. Julian Farino, who also did Sex and the City, and some episodes of The Sopranos and Entourage, will be directing. Neither a date, nor network have been confirmed for the series (but I’m banking on HBO 1st quarter).

I’ll keep you posted when I get more details.

NeNe vs Kim

In an interview with People, she had a few heated words about fellow Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member, NeNe Leakes.

When asked about her former best friend turned “fremeny,” Big Poppa’s ex-side piece said: “I would love to get a hold of her ass, but I don’t have time for her.”
I’m guessing Kim did in her head, because she quickly added, “I don’t want to waste any kind of energy on her and what’s she doing. I want her to be successful and rock on with herself.”

I can’t wait to see how these two interact tonight.

America’s Most Wanted Tour: First Night

Karen Civil talks to Drake, T-Streets, Nicki Minaj, Tyga, Jae Millz, Gudda Gudda, Shanell and Mack Maine backstage and then you see Drake’s and Lil Wayne’s performance of “Best I Ever Had”.

Drake's Interview with The Boombox

The BoomBox: You are still relatively young in your career, yet you have done some pretty high profile performances. What has your preparation been like for the upcoming America’s Most Wanted Music Festival tour with Lil Wayne?

Drake: It’s been crazy. But I’ve gone out with Wayne before. It’s always an experience.

The BoomBox: Was there ever a moment when it became surreal for you in terms of the mammoth size of the crowds during shows?

Drake: There were some defining crowd moments in my career. That first night of the I Am Music tour was just overwhelming. There were 13,000 people in the audience and I had never done anything like that in my life. The other moment was the Hot 97 show in New York. I didn’t know what was going on. I just knew Jeezy had hit me up and was like, ‘Man, I want you to come out.’ I saw Jeezy backstage and then I saw Jay-Z. And Jay was like, ‘I come out right after you.’

It was so funny because we were supposed to have this moment where it was me, Jeezy and Jay-Z onstage. But I got so nervous. I had a moment where I thought ‘Am I really large enough to be standing on stage with Jeezy and Jay?’ [Laughs] I just walked off stage after my performance. I’m like, “Man, I’m wearing Air Yeezy’s and like a pink sweater and shit and these niggas got on all black and are about to perform the Death of Auto-tune (’D.O.A.’). That was a pretty funny moment.

The BoomBox: There were well over 50,000 people there. That had to be an overwhelming image, right?

Drake: To be honest, there were so many flashes and such a vast amount of people that I can honestly say I blacked out. I just remember my heart never beating that hard. I felt like it was going to stop.

The Boombox: Much of the buzz around your mixtape ‘So Far Gone’ has been the mix of hip-hop with R&B. When did you decide to take that chance musically?

Drake: About 10 shows into the tour Wayne asked me to start singing ‘Mrs. Officer’ because Bobby Valentino wasn’t coming on tour. So that was nerve-wracking also because he’d heard me sing and I really didn’t think I was going to be an R&B singer singing onstage. But it was one of those moments like, ‘Wow, this man just asked you to step up. Are you going to say no?’ I started singing and it brought a whole new element into my career. That’s why I was able to do ‘So Far Gone’ … why I was able to do R&B songs and rap songs without people looking at me like a cornball. I found a way to really balance it out. When I rap, I rap with a melodic tone. But this album will primarily be a hip-hop album.

The BoomBox: There was a lot of talk about the unprecedented recording deal you signed with Young Money/Universal Republic. Beyond the $2 million advance, as a new artist you retain your publishing rights and masters to your songs and only cede 25 percent of your music sales revenues to the label. What kind of say did you have in the negotiation of that deal?

Drake: I didn’t really care about the advance money. That’s what’s cool to the public because they think, ‘Oh, shit, he has $2 million dollars.’ But your advance could be a million dollars and you may never make money after that because you got fucked so badly on the back end. But my biggest thing is having creative control. I don’t want anyone telling me, “Oh, you can’t put this single out or you can’t shoot the video until this day. That’s why I signed with my managers Hip Hop Since 1978. I didn’t really care what they give me up front. My biggest thing was owning my music. I just wanted all my masters and I wanted , as a country, as my own territory. Instead of signing to a label what I’m trying to do is sign to a phone company.

The BoomBox: What are you trying to do? Destroy the record companies?

Drake: [Laughs] I’m just trying to do something that has never really been done. I want to distribute my album over cell phones so everybody on the network will get a text the day my album comes out. In everybody belongs to one phone company. Really, what I would love to do is sell a million records out here because that has never been done. Platinum in is 100, 000 records. So if I could sell a million records, which I think it’s possible, to go 10 times platinum in would be crazy.

The BoomBox: I did an interview with Lil Wayne a few months ago and he said that the only person he was worried about in the rap game this year has been you. And he said that’s precisely why he made sure that you were on his team. What do you make of a statement like that?

Drake: It’s an honor for Wayne to say something like that. Someone would really have to come to the studio to see me and Wayne together and how we work to understand what he’s really talking about. It’s the same sort of thing. I fear Wayne’s creativity. It’s endless. It’s a scary beast. He never takes one day off. When we get into the studio it is very competitive, but in a good way. You can’t just use a line you wrote Tuesday. Every line has to be thought out.

The BoomBox: A running theme throughout ‘So Far Gone’ has been the dramatic way the music business has affected your relationship with women. Has that changed even more since your fame?

Drake: It’s definitely made it harder for me. At this point in my life I don’t know what I want from a woman. I think a lot of the women from my past that cared about me kind of feel like they can’t deal with me anymore even if I don’t make them feel that way. They feel that I’m out of reach. I did a song last night which I’m looking to place on my album called ‘Darling Baby.’ I know a lot of dudes when they rap they say things that everybody expects them to say. I’m honest with myself. There’s a certain confidence that comes with vulnerability. In the song me and Wayne go back and forth about being in love. About us finding a woman who we are confident in. I wonder if women ever know that we think about these things?

The BoomBox: Before we get into your solo project, could you talk about how the Young Money album has been going?

Drake: I just got back from Atlanta last night. I did three songs for the Young Money album and I’m very excited about it. The next single is stupid. And then there’s another song I did with Wayne and Nicki Minaj that’s incredible. We don’t have a name for it yet, but it’s dope.

The BoomBox: How far along are you in recording your new album ‘Thank Me Later’?

Drake: I’m about two songs in. I really haven’t even started. The tour is really throwing me off, so I probably won’t start really working on it until September. It will probably come out Valentines’ Day next year.

The BoomBox: Are you sticking with the same musical concepts as ‘So Far Gone’?

Drake: I love ‘So Far Gone.’ I’m very proud of it as a project. So I don’t want to stray away from that method of creativity, but I’ve sat with ‘So Far Gone.’ I pulled the parts that worked because there were parts that didn’t work. People may have appreciated it, but it didn’t go as recognized as other things. I also started listening to other artists’ albums and plucking pieces that I like from there to put together a masterpiece. I want my album to make you feel the same way Kanye’s, Jay-Z’s and Wayne’s albums make you feel. This will not be a 10 to 13-song album. I plan to put 17 songs on there. I have a lot of genres of music to cover. As far as production, 40 (who engineered and produced many of the tracks on ‘So Far Gone’) will be on it. Obviously Boy Wonder, who did ‘Best I Ever Had’ and ‘Uptown.’ I’m also looking forward to Kanye taking charge of the project.

The Boombox: That’s pretty ambitious, huh?

Drake: Well, I want him to do what Kanye does best. Go to Hawaii and stay cooped up in that studio. I want him to have a strong presence on the record. I’ve done some work with Pharrell and me and Swizz Beatz are doing some work. I’m also looking forward to Timbaland. I hear that he has really reinvented himself. So really, it’s just what works.
