TBS has ordered 20 more episodes of Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. [Tyler Perry fans: Insert excitement here]. Both House of Payne and Meet the Browns have become cult phenomenons, averaging 3 million and 3.2 million viewers, respectively.
Looks like TBS, Debmar-Mercury (the distribution company) and Tyler Perry are all happy campers. . The details on that are still sketchy, but it probably won’t stray too far from Tyler Perry’s usual. God bless him; a Black man making money in Hollywood. I still don’t get it, but I’m not mad at his work ethic.
Two episodes of each show run back-to-back in a two-hour comedy block at 9 p.m. Wednesday.
